How to send a transfer.
Five short steps from the upload area to the finished link. No account, no installation.

Choose files
Drag files or a whole folder into the upload area on the home page, or click the plus. Up to 2 GB without an account, up to 5 GB with a free account.

Choose link or email
With "Link" you get an address you share yourself. With "Email" you enter sender and recipients, and BigFile sends the transfer for you.

Set options
Under "Options and settings" you set the expiry and, if needed, switch on password protection or one-time download.

Start the transfer
Accept the terms the first time and click "Start transfer". For email delivery without an account you confirm your address with a short code.

After the upload you copy the link, or the email is already on its way. Please keep the window open until the upload has finished.

Frequently asked questions about the process
Do I need an account?
No. Without an account you can send up to 2 GB and 3 transfers per day. With a free account it is up to 5 GB and 5 transfers per day.
Can I close the window during the upload?
No, the upload runs in your browser. Keep the window open until the transfer has finished. You can keep working in another tab.
Why do I have to enter a code when sending by email?
Without an account this confirms that the sender address belongs to you. It protects against misuse in your name.
What happens after expiry?
The link stops working. With Pro you can extend a transfer once by 7 days.
